Statement of the Citizen’s Party of Afghanistan regarding the transfer of the T.T.P  to northern Afghanistan.

Based on media reports and field data from northern regions of Afghanistan, the Taliban group is engaged in transferring members of the Pakistani Taliban movement along with their families to the northern provinces of Afghanistan. The Taliban group has undertaken this action with political motivations and the aim of bringing about extensive changes in the demographic composition of these areas.

The Citizens’ Party of Afghanistan emphasizes that such actions are beyond the authority of the Taliban group and the Pakistani government. From a legal standpoint, these actions are in violation of internationally accepted norms, domestic laws of Afghanistan, and contrary to the human rights of the indigenous population in the northern provinces of Afghanistan. Furthermore, as a result of such actions, the level of repression, use of violence against the people, and forced displacement of indigenous residents also increase.

The Citizens’ Party of Afghanistan calls upon international institutions, human rights organizations, and influential governments in the international arena to respond seriously to this hostile action by the Taliban and utilize all their capabilities to halt it.

We emphasize that the detrimental consequences of this malicious policy will not only affect the people of the region but also lead to instability in the entire area and deepen the political crisis in Afghanistan. By transferring members of the Pakistani Taliban movement, the Taliban are bringing a significant portion of terrorist elements to northern Afghanistan, which poses a future challenge to regional and international security and stability at both regional and transregional levels.

The Citizens’ Party of Afghanistan appreciates the emphasis of member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on halting this policy. We also expect the United Nations, the European Union, the government of Britain, neighboring governments, international organizations, and other nations to hear the voice of the Afghan people and compel the Taliban to refrain from such divisive, hate-driven, ethnocentric, and terrorist-nurturing policies.
